my 82 deville with a 5" bolt pattern is hard to get rims for...what are u folks running onyour cars?

5 on 5 is most commonly known as half-ton Chevy truck, from 1970 1/2 all the way to 1998.

Yep--all you have to look for is wheels that fit a 2wd '99 or older GM SUV or '98 older truck, and you'll have both the right offset and right bolt pattern.

Matter of fact, one of my friend's in HS bought a ex-MD police 9C1 Caprice to replace the very high mileage '93 Suburban 2wd his mother had given him, and took the stock wheels right off the Suburban and put them on the Caprice. Looked quite nice, actually.

But yeah, just search for wheels for a last gen or older 2wd GM truck/SUV and you'll be good.

cool thanks...i knew the caprice/impala ss will fit the 5x5...but wasn't sure if the center hub hole fit....

Oh, good point. That's one thing I've wondered about.

Now I know you Caddy Guys don't want to hear this but Lincoln also ran the 5 X 5" bolt circle on some mid 70's town cars and had a few nice wheels. Also the complete list includes 70-98 2wd chevy full size trucks, blazers, suburbans, and the astro vans* caprice wagons and all GM full size wagons roadmaster**, vista cruisers, and parisennes (for example caprice sedans used smaller bolt circle)straight through from the late 60's up until their demise, but all caprice, road master, and vista cruiser 92+ up.
*astro vans had a nice 5 star with an unmarked cover no logos whatsoever
**remember the nice dukes of hazzard looking vectors mags on the buick wagons, but be careful they ran them on the smaller bolt circle cars too...
