related to my brake-pedal question, what's right for a gas-pedal on the catera?

seems a bit heavier to push and some resultant delay between foot-stomp and car-go compared w/ my '03 acura TL.

well the Catera is a heavy car for the power it has but there should be no delay from when you step on the gas till it revs up and goes.
