You're crazy to think an alternator out of a piece of crap V6 Blazer that's 16 years old will work in your Escalade. Why wouldn't you spend $100-200 on a new one, and not risk messing up your electrical system?
These are the cars it's confirm to fit so year really plays no part regardless if the blazer is 16 years old. BUT YOU CAN CLICK THE FIRST LINK SO YOU CAN SEE SPECIFIC DETAILS.
so that is why I asked the first question.
I had the same alt on a 03 hummer & looking to put this same alt in my 07 escalade. I called in DC POWER & they stated it might fit if the 07 is an early 07 esv model (not sure what they meant by that) If not they can replace something on the alt (I Forgot what is was, maybe the pin plug? something in that sense?) Well they stated they can do it for free if indeed it doesn't fit but I don't want the trouble of spending shipping back & forth & then overall it fits the entire time.
This is why I would like to know if the 98 blazer alt is the same specs as the 07 esv alt. So I can just plug & Play this 300SPX alt from my friends blazer.
