As I look into different threads here, I see more and more posts saying people have sold their Cadillacs to buy another non-Cadillac or not even GM car.

This is a Cadillac forum. There is nothing wrong with a non-Cadillac owner becoming a member of this forum. Sometimes things beyond our control happen and we are forced to drive cars that are not Cadillacs.

But...

I humbly suggest that Cadillac car owners get special privileges and perhaps access somewhere non Cadillac owner do not. This will serve as an incetive for elwessos and elvises of this forum to aquire the necessary brand of a motor vehicle.

They can prove that they owe a Cadillac by sending a picture of them with it to you. This is to mimimize dishonesty, though more thorough proof may be demanded, like a title (with all personal information deleted, of course).

Give it though, will you :)

Here,Here.....I heartily agree! Sometimes this place seems like a Cadillac haters forum to me! I have no interest in RICE or other things not Cadillac related unless it just mentioned in passing or to help make a point about something Cadillac related.

I think this is a bad idea, a large number of people on this site are looking to buy a cadillac and some of people are selling but still looking.....this would just discourage people from the forum and i think its a bad message to send

Being able to access a special area of a relativley small forum is not going to be incentive to spend $200 on a rusted out Cimarron or $10000 on a Seville.

It's a website not a club....And the reason that you in particular keep finding yourself in this position is that you constantly refer to the Q as if anybody here is really interested and you constantly talk about how bad you think Cadillacs are
regardless of whether you know what you're talking about or not! I have seen you give out some pretty decent information a number of times....On the other hand, I've also seen you spout nonsense about these cars that is based on something that you obviously read from one source and then regurgitated without regard to whether it was factual or not. It's a little hard to see you as an enthusiast when you are always badmouthing the thing you claim to be enthusiastic about. When someone does finally get tired of it and says something you get all shrill and defensive and threaten to leave.....Take the lesson learned with a grain of salt and get over it!....Good LORD!

I don't mind hearing about Wes's Q, it makes us feel superior. Just kidding! Anytime it has been mentioned it is not to make Caddys inferior, many times Wes implies that he wishes he had a Caddy, that's the message I get and I've had no problems with it. I don't think rice is a problem on this Forum because there are threads like "Stupid Ricers" etc. where they get bashed. So he has a Q, so what. He is up front and honest about it, and hides nothing. I hope we don't have to cite sources around here for what we say because a lot of stuff is from memory, or from what others have learned.

I really respect you KC, I like to consider you a friend (esp. when I joined) but all this talk stems from a stupid post yesterday that was insulting for no reason, we should just move on. Besides, we should appreciate that not everyone can afford a Cadillac, eh? :coffee:

Lev, I don't know why you are angry about this subject, if "more and more" people have sold their Caddys, it's just a fact, it doesn't take away from the heritage and quality of the car itself. Don't worry about it Dude, when they come around, they will get another one.

Like I've said before - if Cadillac executives come by and see nothing but how wonderful we think our cars are - how perfect they are - and how we'd all never buy an import because what's made right here in the U.S.A. is God's gift to the automobile industry - they'd never improve on anything.

They need to see people giving up on them. It puts fire under their asses to make a better product. Why try to hide the obvious?

If we have a problem that we can't get passed we can always set the thing on ignore and not see any of someones posts...I was M.I.A. for a while because I had other stuff to do.... ( and some of the people here were just getting to be too much ) Besides, This place just keeps getting weirder and weirder and it's damned entertaining! There is a chance of it happening again, Whenever I think this place is getting completely stupid....I'll be gone! But it will not happen because you want it to. ( That means less than nothing to me! )

I'm surprised actually.....That the posts were not deleted. This place has turned into the Sandman and Elwesso comedy hour if they don't like what you have to say ( even if it's true and particularly if it's about one of them ) it's immediately deleted ( It truly amazes me ) Sal originally had a good idea, But that's long since fallen apart and been turned into something far less interesting.

I would think that it's a testament to the improving image of Cadillac that I would "condescend" to visit this place, sponsor it, or accept the responsibilities of being a moderator. I own three other brands, but I don't visit their forums.
