i'm trying to replace my valve lifters but some of them seem to be turned sideways how do i get them out? i removed the rocker assembly and the pushrods can i do it through there or is there another way?

Sideways? How do you mean? Is the intake off?

If it is not, you have to remove it. Then you should be able to remove the lifters. Use a small screwdriver in the clip groove and lift them out. If tha does not work, there is a tool for removing them.

Carefully inspect the bottoms of the lifters when they are out for galling or dishing in. If they are, then the cam must be replaced as well.
