Who here has one? Boombotz 10-01-05, 02:48 AM Yes they are available and I have seen alot of Lades around by me that have them on it. It doesn't look bad. Check this link out there is a pic of one on one of the posts. Grill guards? (http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32909&highlight=guards+bumper+Grill+guard) Synergetic 10-01-05, 10:39 AM Pointless, waste of money, and looks terrible. I was just laughing with a buddy last night at an Escalade with one of these. Kills the look and I don't see the point...? :thepan: darthcaddy 10-01-05, 10:45 AM Thanks for the link BB. I guess it's not that popular here in NYC. I've seen one on every type of SUV (even the Navigator & Aviator), but not the the Escalade yet. Boombotz 10-01-05, 10:55 AM We have a dealership here that customizes Escalades before they sell them. They will remove the runningboards and put on nerf bars instead. I will take a pic of one the next time I see it. It really doesn't look bad, probaly because they add alot of extra mod's to the truck. It's not the look I would be going for, and I don't knock anyone elses taste. As long as the person who own's it likes it. Thats all that matters. :cool2: DenverEXT 10-03-05, 12:22 PM I have a black brush guard on my black 02 EXT as well as black tail light guards. I like the looks. I'll try to post pictures later. ICEMAN 10-04-05, 11:05 AM I've also got the brush guard and tail-light guards. Main reason I have them is that the eco-freaks will smash your headlights and taillights hench the grills. It offers a bit more protection than none at all. I'll try and get some pictures up.. I think it looks rather nice. ICEMAN hcox10 10-04-05, 12:50 PM hi i have a 2000 lade with a manik brush gauard on it. it sells for 1,180.00 igot it off of ebay for 150.00. ithink it is stainles steel. i think it looks good and i think it would help if you hit a deer. harold DenverEXT 10-08-05, 12:30 AM Well, I finally got around to it. Here's the pics of the gaurds on my EXT. I personally think they look good on EXT's. darthcaddy 10-08-05, 01:16 AM Those look cool D-EXT. The grills do look better on the EXTs. :yup: Boombotz 10-08-05, 01:41 AM Looks good. How much did it cost and did you do it yourself? darthcaddy 10-08-05, 10:47 AM Damn. You got me thinking of buying an EXT instead. Are you going to add a black mesh grill or paint the grill black? :worship: DenverEXT 10-08-05, 11:11 AM Looks good. How much did it cost and did you do it yourself? I just got the truck about a month ago. It had the guards and wheels on it when I bought it. The gaurds are kind of what set it off and stand out to me, so that's why I got it. I found the same brush guard on ebay brand new for $350 a while back. Damn. You got me thinking of buying an EXT instead. Are you going to add a black mesh grill or paint the grill black? :worship: I'm not a fan of the mesh grills. I did however think about getting one of the narrow, vertical slat chrom grills but I don't really have the money for it right now. I think it would look nicer since the whole truck is black and the door handles, wheels, and running boards are the only chrome on it. But for now I don't mind the factory grill. Dif 10-08-05, 01:10 PM The full brush quards don't look too bad but most I've seen are too much for my taste. I've been looking at the Waag Frontrunner. http://www.autoanything.com/products/product_gnn.aspx?p_id=1231&se=waag_front_runner_guard Not really a brush guard, but it offers some protection without taking away from the stock look of the vehicle. Waiting to see the 2007 Lades though before getting a Waag Frontrunner. Don't want to get more accessories until I know whether I'll be keeping my current ride. fast66 10-10-05, 01:53 AM Well, I finally got around to it. Here's the pics of the gaurds on my EXT. I personally think they look good on EXT's. If I were you I woudl take advantage of the bar and put some crazy lights on it, make it look bad ass. I dont like the escalade with accesoires on it or a front bar. It take away from the mean stance of front of the car. THe only car that looked good wit a front bar and a lot of accesories is the recent and old land cruiser, it makes the bland of toyota look mean. I still love your truck though, every black ext looks bad ass. | |
