Will offer 22" rims for the new Escalade which is due out in a couple of months. What's next? A Snoopy Doggy Dog commercial? Since when is GM in the pimp business?

Since everyone buys a vehicle and customizes the hell out of it! GM is trying to get a slice of that pie by offering bigger wheels that people want!
The same thing happened with the HP wars, in the 60's and now! Everyone is one upping the other with more power! Is GM in the Hot Rod business, yes! Now they pimp thier cars as well!

Probably better than half of the threads in this particular forum are about larger wheels. It's not my thing, but clearly it's a market GM should go after.

As for Snoop Dog commercials....I thing Chrysler has the lock on those. :D

They already do offer 22's on the Escalades. The dealers out here have them brand new with 22" wheel options already on them.

Dealer's do that around here too, but it's not from the factory, the 07's will be from the factory as an option. :)

Cadillac makes big bank on their custom-wheel options. $3000 for the 20" wheel option (that's a FACTORY option) on 05's. Given their economies of scale - that's nice profit. Irony is, Cadillac was very vocal just 2 1/2 short years ago, about dealer's offering bigger wheels on new Escalades. Cadillac was threatening everything from warranty coverage to lawsuits! And now they're eating crow and already offering 20", and possibly bigger.

22's is just logical for an escalade. the performance trucks today have 20's! (Dodge SRT-10).

The only problem is no one is making a good tire for snow in anything above 17". :(
