That is where it is, I changed mine last Wednesday on a lift, it took about 5 minutes. CaddyShack03 09-26-05, 10:34 AM thanks guys. anything i should know before i change it? hcvone 09-26-05, 12:18 PM Just check for any leaks after you finish the work, it's pretty straight forward. fast66 09-26-05, 12:36 PM When should I plan on changing the fuel filter? Car doesnt seem to have any loss of power, at 60k mi 02 ext. I dont believe I ever changed it before. hcvone 09-26-05, 04:26 PM The service manual says 50k, but it's not the larger GM fuel filter on the Escalade's, so I would change it at 25k, I did mine at 25k, can't feel any difference but for $10.00 it's cheap insurance. :) csmooth79 09-26-05, 04:45 PM It doesnt leak when you disconnect it, isnt it under pressure? hcvone 09-26-05, 05:53 PM It doesnt leak when you disconnect it, isnt it under pressure? It is under pressure, but when you loosen the nut slowly the pressure will be relieved, not much gas came out, most was in the filter, a bucket or can will catch any fuel with no problem. | |
