i own cadillac sedan de ville 1994 4.9 i know that code means egr system but did that means egr valve or that black box with wires?(i dont know its name)or something else?

I means that the system is not working properly. It could be the solenoid that controls it, a vacuum leak or the EGR valve itself.

Thanks.....It was broken vacuum hose.
