I have a 99 Deville with the factory cass stereo. I have purchased a factory
CD/cass stereo on E-Bay.

I have heard that the cadillac stereos have a anit-theft lock-out feature that disables the radio if removed from the original vehicle (tied to the VIN)?

If I take out my original radio will I be able to reinstall it without any problems
If the new radio doesn't work?

Any suggestions?
