They have a th440-t4 for $350 ... no core exchange required... pretty cheap if you ask me... a _complete_ rebuild kit alone is $100 or so... And I definitly didnt complete mine in 12 hours (we maybe, esp... if I didnt have any trouble with the blue thrust bearing ordeal) Anyways if you have a caddy with 180k miles and are on the original tranny id get this.
FYI my rebuilt trans has been going strong. I had a problem with it leaking trans fluid (bumped the tranny pan and had to change the seal). I also added some lucas trans shift leak stuff and it shifts awesome now.... I also got a mechanic buddy of a buddy of mine to change the spark plugs (worth the $40 bucks, since I would have never got those back ones out) and now get about 17 in the city (richmond, va) and around 24 on the highway going about 72mph using low grade gas....
Regards,
Brian
