I have a 1991 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz. The remote entry worked OK but the hand-held unit was getting pretty ratty. So I bought another one, which was like new, on E-Bay. It was for the 1991 Eldo but it won't work. I used the same watch-battery in it that I had in the old remote unit.

I checked the numbers on the hand-held units and found they were different. But I am pretty sure the one I bought on E-Bay is for the 1991 Cad. Eldo. I think I just need to re-program for it. Can anyone tell me how to do that or where I can find info on how to do it ?

Here are the numbers etc. on the two hand-held units:

My original Cadillac remote entry:
TX FCC ID: 6LQ9Z8-1507
DDC Cert. No. K505
DELCO PRODUCTS
ONE TOUCH ENTRY SYSTEM
Model 22094436 JAPAN

My new Cadillac remote entry;
ALPS ELECTRIC CO..LTD
DOC/MDC: 218 K903
MODEL/FCC ID: ABO0702T
P/N: 10269729 JAPAN

Thanks.
