While I'm waiting on my stock wheels getting chromed, I got some 20 inch rims. The guy who designed the rims owns a V according to my tire dealer. He personally said, "trust me, I KNOW they will fit his car; I have them on mine."
Should I go back to stock when they come back chromed or put them on this forum for sale and keep the 20's?????? All comments welcome!!!!!!!!! Yes, the TPMs work, but be warned, our cars have four different TPM styles. Your VIN# tells the tire dealer which type of TPM to order.

I think you should keep the stockers and sell the 20's.....
Let me know when you're selling 'em.. ;)

Awesome wheels! :cool2: If you decide to sell your chrome originals, let me know. Assuming I haven't given in to buying my own Foose wheels...:lildevil:

Im calling shenanigans on the TPS sensors. I bought 3 new one and they all worked no issue, no vin needed on ordering.

dude, I also gotta call shenanigans on your 'highlighted' V badge. All bad. YIKES!

ya, the outline for the badges seemed cool at the time. (hind sight being 20/20. what was I thinking?) I'd like to remove them but I'm sure it would mess up the paint. Any ideas?
I'm not sure why Les Schwab would lie about different sensors. Maybe they meant other GM cars and TPM's. I swear they said the factory had listed four different types for the 05 V and wanted to make sure they ordered the right ones.

Where did you get those wheels they look great? and how much did they set you back?

Im sure hes not lying, however check the faq for the right TPS p/n.

Man, I'm jealous!
You buy 20 inch Foose chrome rims just to use "temporarily" ??!?!?!

All of the horror stories I've read about the long, long wait for having your wheels chromed made me think that I should have another set of wheels during the "long wait." So, I was about ready to send my stock wheels in to have chromed professionally and today at 4pm my tire guy called to tell me he was looking at a brand new set of chromed wheels that had just been delivered. So, long story short, 20 inch Foose wheels at $500 a piece, I'm not sure what I paid for the Toyo tires, was a complete waste of money. They look great but I'm not sure sure if I want the stock ones back or not.
Here's the deal, I'm having non runflats put on the chromed stock rims either tomorrow or Thursday. I will then put up a vote, the forum shall decide, for which wheels I should keep.
I will then put the set I don't want to keep up for bid. Sound good?
I Bought Wheels From U.s. And I Live In Canada. I Got The Wheel Sensors Installed From Wheelmaker Also(ccw). Did Not Need Vin For Sensors. I Think That Fact Is Wrong
Honestly, I think the 20" wheels are a good design. I like the spoke and all, I just personally have a thing with the super skinny sidewall.
I like to see some rubber on a wheel, but I'm pretty old school on most of my car tastes, so........

Now see... i get chrome wheels, they almost look the damn same, and 20's....
and i get... BAH too much chrome dude, those chrome wheels gotta go, ahh they suck... what a crok.. lol
bias bias bias!
anyway, they look good bro... give it time, you will here.. too much chrome! geesh.. now think about that, how much chrome do we really have on the V.. my God.
Too much chrome...its not a Harley, you know! Chrome is so yesterday, powdercoating is also last week. The really cool thing now is to buy the liquid latex and self-coat the wheels yourself. Think about it...nice bright orange wheels or purple with glitter mixed in, with lime green ricer-graphics. Now that would be "fresh"...and then kick it to "My Adidas" or "Pump up the Jam". OOOOOH, wait...Hammer's "you can't touch this" would be perfect, uh...I mean "word".
