I just bought a 1995 Cadillac Deville (4.9, not NorthStar) but the place that sold it to me didn't know if it had remote entry or not and it obviously didn't come with a remote. I was thinking about buying a replacement remote but don't want to until I know for sure if I can use it or not, please help.

Seriously, no one can answer this question?

The easiest way is to call your local Cad dealer (actually any GM parts department can do this but some refuse to help the competiton) and provide the parts department with the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) and they can tell you if your vehicle has RKE - be aware that replacement remotes are pricey from the dealer. I can get replacements for just about any RKE out there at a substantial savings. I used to have a used car lot and we usually installed a RKE with remote start and alarm. I have available a unit that cost about what you will pay for 1 remote from the dealer, and my units come with 2 remotes.
I can be contacted at MrUsdCar@aol.com

Most likely you do.
In the trunk, remove the beauty cover from the back of the rear seat so you can see all the modules.
Go to your trunk fuse block. Remove the "Body 2" fuse. It is a 10 amp fuse. It is in the second column from the left, third fuse from bottom. Actually, I think your fuse block cover should have a label showing the fuse names.
When you remove and replace the fuse, you will hear a clicking sound. If you hear it, that is your keyless entry module and that tells you that your car has RKE.

I was looking for replacement keyless entry remotes not too long ago and I found a site that had them for my 98 Regal.
I had them delivered in less than a week and the programming instructions only took maybe 10 seconds?
Anyways, here's a link to the site:

Just click the Cadillac category, or type DEVILLE in their search box.

If you know where the SPID label is, it used to be RPO "AU0".
It might be different.
I can check if you give me the last 8 digits of your VIN.
