Hello everyone. I am having a MAJOR problem with Cadillac Corporate. I think my dealer gave me an old Navigation DVD with my 2005 CTS-V. I bought it in October of 2004 and when I ejected my Nav disc, printed on it is:

v.60 Q4 02 (C) 2002

This means it is a 2002 disc! Cadillac claims this is the most recent disc that was available at the time I took delivery of my CTS-V. I think the'yre full of it!

PLEASE HELP!

Eject your nav disc, what does it say? Include the purchase date when you bought your V. The more ammo I have the better!

My V:
2005 CTS-V purchased Oct, 2004 - Disc V.60 Q4 02

I would really appreciate the response. They want to charge me $800 for the new disc. Come on....a $50,000.00, 2005 Cadillac with a 2002 Nav disc?!?! Maybe this will have the opportunity to help more than none of us and make sure we keep Cadillac on the up and up.

Thanks!
Jeff

$800? Do a search. I am pretty sure it's a lot less than that from Partsdirect.

My V came with the same disk yours did purchased in 11/04. Some dealers have replaced disks for their customers, some have not. Another option is to buy the $200 Infinity disk. It works fine in our system.

I am waiting for a disk that has my neighborhood in it, personally.

The new disc is Q2 03.

Only 2 years behind!

I think Infinity is due for a new release first quarter of next year if they follow their historic plan. B/c of the price difference, I am pretty much planning on buying one of theirs. That will be q1 of '06 and not behind at all if it does, in fact, come out.

Yes, The Infinity DVD's work in our CTS's just fine. I am using the V6.3 Infinity DVD and its a fraction of the cost if you purchase it directly from the MFR instead of cadillac. Their website is http://www.zenrin.com/navSoft.asp

Good info if it works.

The site says next month a new release will be out.

Have you backed yours up yet?

I have the old disc in my 2005. I was built in 8/04, driven by GM for 6 months or so and I got it in May 2005. Old disc.
It sucks as I called Caddy too and they won't do anything. Since mine is a lease and I don't use it much more than for looks I will stick with what I have for now.

Good luck.

Slow35th, hows the new disc? Is is much better or exactly the same with more streets added?

I just had my DVD replaced under warranty (it really was defective! - at least so says the service advisor) I had Version 6 Q4 02 (I know this bc I had 2 and checked the other one ;) the new one (got it today) says Version 6.0 Q4 03, so that's the current supplied one at this time.

Does it work when you try to enter a trip to another state?
