Hey all, I need some help. I started to notice that the radio was losing signal strength, as well as changing the frequency a bit. In addition, it looked like the radio DIC was dimming and going back to normal brightness. I did a search on this and came up with close but not quite on the results. It's the base radio and the search came up with the 6 cd changer. Any thoughts?

For the radio loosing strength and frequency, try reprogramming the radio. For the DIC, my lights dims and brightens also. I have the 6 CD Bose system. I did notice in my case it was because I have the dash dimmer as low as it can go, when I turn the dimmer up a bit, the problem went away. Also, the period when the light sensor detects sunrise or sunset, you may see an occasional dash flash from dim to bright or vice-versa,

Thanks for the info. I guess I need to get the dealer to reprogram the radio? If so, then it will have to wait until I have to go there.

When I said reprogram the radio, didn't mean dealer involvement right away. Get your manual, clear the settings, then reprogram yourself. There may be certain items that is selected that might be the cause of your problem. If this doesn't work, and the component is still under warranty, then you may want to give the dealer a call for possible service and/or replacement. The Zip
