It's a small thing but I noticed that when I pop the trunk it unlocks but does not lift at all usually with a pressure cylinder the trunk lid on most cars will come up at least a few inches. Is this typical?

TripleOught 09-14-05, 02:46 PM yup, mine releases but it doesn't physically lift much at all, maybe 1/2 inch. to me, it's a moot point...but decent observation... CTatDC 09-14-05, 03:02 PM That is something that is a pain. The trunk is somewhat heavy to lift up; my wife complains about it when she's carrying something and has to open it. It is also awkward to close. Hopefully this will be addressed with the redesign. spaceman78 09-14-05, 03:05 PM I Miss The Auto Pull Down Close Trunk Lid....My Caddy Elorado Had It Very Nice Feature.... im20agn 09-14-05, 03:19 PM I'm thinking perhaps a heavier Lift cylinder may solve the problem, I'll check into it and if it works will get back to everyone.:bulb: RobertCTS 09-14-05, 03:25 PM I'm thinking perhaps a heavier Lift cylinder may solve the problem, I'll check into it and if it works will get back to everyone.:bulb: This thread has come up before but finding another suitable gas strut has been difficult.
