04CTSVFLA,
did you buy a V yet.

I think every V has had some sort of problem. You would see my history and say no way but it is still a nice car. As long as it is under warranty, you should be all set.

If you are concerned about that, get one certified from a delaer so it has a 6yr/100K bumper to bumper facotry warranty.

Good Lord, man. The car has had a couple of TSB repairs, and the replacement of two commonly replaced items under warranty. Big deal. Its not as though they are trying to sell a car with a blown rear and a broken sun roof.

Stop being such a drama queen. Parts break and warranties replace them. Service bulletins are issued and things get fixed. If you want a new car, get a new car. If you want a used car, especially a hi-po car, expect that it will have had some service.

Geeeesh.

04CTSVFLA, I don't understand what's your problem. If you want a virgin buy a new one. They're very accessible now with that GM Discount. The 10,000 mile car was warranty, if it's in good condition and meets your under 40k requirement you should pull the trigger. When most of us went out to buy these cars in 04 we had to pay sticker and some above msrp. I would of killed for a deal like that.

Sure our cars have some issues, but it's the bang for the buck. Where else would you buy for 50k a performer like ours.

Don't let anyone scare you, it looks to me like you live in south florida. If that's the case you have V-Series Tech which works in Vera Cadillac, And you have Braman. Braman has been my service dealer and I must say they have been wonderful. (Unlike Williamson)

Buy the car and enjoy it. What other car can you buy used for 40k and have as much fun as this? WITH WARRANTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:werd: These "Oh my, whatever should I do" threads are getting flat old. Asking for the VIN is fine, and major kudos to CTSONFIRE for obliging. That is some great info that the rest of us probably couldn't get easily.

Like haveboost said, I paid a heck of a lot more for my car than 37k, and I still thought it was a bargain. Traded in a BMW for it, as a matter of fact. I have never owned an American made performance car, and this is the one that pushed me over the edge. You will not (likely) regret it, unless are one of the poor souls that has some major problems, like a few others here have. No car is 100% bulletproof.

:rant2:Now for the rant:

You should stop lumping yourself in as a hurricane casualty. As I watch the news every night and feel helpless and sad, it is very difficuly to give a rat about your flooded almost-the-greatest-deal-in-the-world-ctsv. People slept in their own shi* for a week, with no food or water, for crying out loud. I am sure you are disappointed, but as fellow Floridian, you should know better. We saw first hand last year how bad these storms can be, and we'll feel their wrath again.

Feel free to ask for advice, but stop with the pity thing.

:canttalk: rant off.

Perhaps we can help 04CTSVFLA stop wringing his hands and wetting himself over this major purchase decision by taking these steps::crybaby:

1) Some forum member with artistic ability should take a few weeks of their time to create a complete set of detailed cut-away drawings of the V so that he can examine each and every part that may fail over time;

2) We should take up a collection to fly in the Pope to bless a V for 04CTSVFLA so that it will never break down;

3) We should send a petition to Congress asking for a law that says used cars may only be offered for sale at the price point that the cheapest buyers are willing to agree to; and

4) Since he seems to believe that he is a victim of the hurricane, we should ask FEMA to forget about getting food and supplies to Louisiana and Mississippi and, instead, locate and deliver a perfect V to our Florida brother.

I'm throwing the BS flag on this guy. How old are you? Why do I have the feeling that we are dealing with a high school student on a fantasy trip? If so, here's another suggestion:

Change your name to 04MiataFLA and go over to the Mazda forum. That will have the effect of raising the average IQ of both forums.:thepan:

Boy has the :fan: or what???

Not sure why everyone is giving 04CTSFLA such a hard time. :thehand: He just wants the best deal he can get. If I were buying used...I would not buy one that has had the rear replaced because chances are (not in every case) it has been rode hard and hung wet (like mine), if ya know what I mean. If you don't like his threads...don't open them. :canttalk:

04CTSFLA, some of these guys may be getting pissed cuzz you are being a little ridiculous and that :stirpot: . Just make an educated decision and go with it. It's also hard for some of us to sit back and watch others get a used V for 37 and a new one for 40 when some of us (not me) paid waaay more. :eek:

Please don't anyone flame me...I'm just giving my opinion!
