Guess I was hoping to hear from a 59 owner here. LOL I know that the older caddys sure guzzle up the gas, the 5ft long hoods and long ass ends but they (in my opinion) ride better than any 2004 model ive ever taken for a burn. They have more of a "feeling" to them. they talk to you. screw the GPS, in a ride pre 1970 it doesnt matter where your going as long as you dont run out of road. :) but as most of you are hearing about from me, the bigger the caddy the better, hence my love for 1953-1968 caddy hearses/ambulances. 21ft long, 6ft wide & 3 tons of americian artwork.the bigger/heavier - the better.
im gone.

Just picked up a 1960 series 62 Coupe last week. I'm in love all over again :D . I owned a 59 coupe a couple years ago. It was a total heep unfortunatley. I ended up selling it before I had a chance to get it on the road. So, this one's redemption for the 59.

I have a '60, and I agree wholeheartedly. Angelo-my Cad-takes forever to get up to speed, and when you stomp the peddle, the gas gauge goes just a fast as the speedometer, but it is a rush like no other. No seat belts, no air bags, just you, 4800 lbs. of steel, drum brakes, and a carburated V-8 purr. LOVE the purr.

Well Damn! Just got back from a buds house in the US. he presently has a 59 supeior caddy ambulance, just bought a 59 M&M ambulance off of ebay (total risk!) but after some hard engine work it was purring like a kitten, so i tailed him in his 59 supeior ambulance sine the other 59 was not yet registered. my first ride in a 59 Ambulance guys! 3spd collum shift, smooth ride... i had a smile on my face all the way to Cadillacs Only restoration shop. I miss my old ambulance now.
im gone.

I own a 1970 Cadillac eldorado. Works like a champ, just have to replace the exhaust system, and vinyl roof. If anyone wants to give me a buzz, get me on AIM at mrche21 or on MSN at mr_piccolo23@msn.com
