Hey people, I know some of you dislike me...:hmm: - I just like to spark debate, and ask alot of questions. Anyways. I think Im going to purchase a V. I want to know your opinions. How can I find out if this V that Im about to purchase has had any past problems - meaning it was a lemon type car like alot of you describe - failing diffs etc... This is the vin 1G6DN56S350113346 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewJumpPageForVehicleHistory&vin=1G6DN56S350113346). If anyone has owned this car or can find anything out about it let me know. It is black on black and has 24k miles. Heres the link:

Is that even a good price? How much money am i looking at to lower the car? I think I will do the wldwhl mod and cut my springs -

Make sure it does not have the TSB - on the interior light dimmer module. It discharges the battery if it sits for more than a couple of days. With that kind of mileage I would not buy site unseen; how about the diff? Common issue on Vs that have been driven hard.

I am a cadillac tech up here in Nashville, TN. I can do any GM car with the whole vin or just the last eight digits, while I surf the net.

wow, cool info....looks like she's had something done on the rear, best make sure it's not whining. never heard of a pinion shaft oil. and make sure it has no vibration either.
24K is alot of miles...it went from 66 to 18941....wonder if it's had oil changes and all that. wonder what tires are on it, too.

My first set of tires lasted about 10k. i put a set of 20's these tires on the rear have made it about 12k, but i can't rotate w/ a staggered offset.

What are the chances?! The rear differential was worked on? I just don't understand. Also, this is no deal with the miles the car has on it. By from Chesrown for less or buy mine. :lildevil: New everything except the motor at this point. Got an update today. V out of service since August 29th, now looking at September 20th at the earliest. :bigroll:

First: Lynn Smith is a terrible dealer group. Without boring you with the details, they completely refused warranty service for a Corvette Forum brother. They do not appreciate, nor understand how to support GM Enthusiast Vehicles.

Second: The Miles/Price on this car are a bit high judging by the Buy it Now.

...knowing Lynn Smith, they'll swing into RaceTrack and dump in some 86 Octane.:annoyed:

Hmm if we could only combine my front end avatar to your rear end V.

Then we could play GOD!

Would you mind pulling up a history report for me? I just purchased my V a few weeks ago. I'm curious to see what's been done to it. :D
let me know and I'll send you the VIN. Thanks!

$39k for a 25000 mile V definitely makes me feel better about the depreciation. I would probably look elsewhere.

I drove that one at Lynn Smith before I bought one from Bonham Chrysler. The tires were shot and it shifted rough.

Bonham has one more V left, little higher price but a lot less miles!
