Why would there be two different part numbers for fuel injectors on an 82-83 eldo etc, vs. an 84-85 Eldo HT4100? They look the same... I *think* the connectors are same... why would they make them different numbers?

Do you think they might spray fuel at a different rate, or are they to comply with some emission standards or something?? I'm getting an '85 throttle body Unit, complete with TPS and injectors... for my '82 Eldorado.. and I just want to make sure the injectors are compatible with the '82 computer and eprom etc.

I know sometimes they change the part#s just because of connectors that you can swap... but these look very similar if not the same..

Maybe the '85 injectors just mount a little differently for the '85 throttle body, than in previous versions of the throttle body? ..so if I get the whole unit for my '82, it should be fine??

Does anyone know anything that might be of help for this issue??

Thanks for any help anyone can provide!!!!

IIRC it's no big deal to change those injectors. If they don't work properly then maybe swap them with your originals.
