I have to replace the ecm on mly seville 81 with the 368 v864.
The ACDELCO site show me 2 versions of the ecm. On mine, the label is gone, so I can't know what it is. The only label on show a bar code with this number : 165001102720274. the eprom are ACDELCO7977FT (with on back 326553) and ACDELCO7978FT (with on back 326957), the vin is 1G6AS6990BE696709.
Could somebody tell me if there is a mode to identify which model I am (perhaps somethings wrote in/on).
the supplier I found offer 3 models : 1224760,1224670,1225120.
So I am a little bit confused.:confused:

both parts are for your car. However one is a first and one is a second design. contact http://www.gmotors.com and they will give you the correct part design for your car. but the 2 above are specific for your vehicle.

Still no reply from gmotors:( but I know now it is the second design (the oem reference is 1225120):).
So no problem to buy the ECM, BUT as I can't discriminate between the ECM and the EPROMs to be the culprit, I would also replace the EPROMs.
I am not able to locate a source for them:confused: (http://misc.php?do=getsmilies&wysiwyg=1&forumid=77#).
Could somebody help me?
I remember you it is for a 81 seville with the 368ci v8-6-4.
