Hello all,

Any help would be appreciated. Recently, my driver side air has been working intermittently. Passenger side is blowing cold as it should be, but driver side is sometimes blowing warm, even when set at 65 deg. I checked codes and had B1317 - cabin air temperature sensor.

I probably need to replace the sensor - but I have no idea where it is located and how to replace it. Anyone have any experience with this? Any idea how much a sensor costs and how difficult the procedure is? It can't be that tough, I just don't know where to begin.

Thanks...

Steve

The sensor is behind that little square vent between the steering column and the headlamp switch. I have not changed one, but the cover should be easy enough to remove. Go slow and easy...

Before you replace it, try running the temp all the way up to 90 then back down. If it is a sticky actuator, that will usually free it up.
