I just discovered that I have a hole in my d-side muffler. What mufflers are suitable for a 93 seville SLS? If one needs to be replaced is it recommended to replace both?:banghead:

If one needs to be replaced is it recommended to replace both?:banghead: Guyz1996deville 09-08-05, 01:58 AM I replaced my mufflers this summer. What I put on was flowmaster exhaust, but I took black (flat) engine paint and painted the mufflers and new pipes I put on. I also got some new tips and you would be supprised the nice sound they give off, as well as look nice. 91TexasSeville 09-10-05, 05:03 AM Salvage yard tip: You can remove the exhaust from any newer Seville or Eldorado all the way up to the 1997 model. They all fit, some with very minor modification. The more you can remove in a single piece the better. I got both mufflers to the "Y", then the rest up to and including the cat from a wrecked very low mileage (31.7K) 1996 Seville. I paid $100 for the works including the cat, cat sensor, hangers, and pristine tips . I have my own shop but I doubt it would cost more than another $100 to have it installed. Some shops may not do the cat, but will do everything else. You can not buy that same high quality for $200 anywhere. Also, if you live in a snow belt area that utilizes salt on the pavement, you should inspect your brake lines, fuel lines, and emergency brake cable while you are under the car. It will be of great benefit when you hit the salvage yards knowing what you need in advance. | |
