10 years after the release of Jagged Little Pill, Alanis Morissette went back to the studio to re-record the album, except this time it is all acoustic. I just picked it up today, and I gotta say, it kicks ass! Anyone that is a fan of her and this album needs to get it.

What? You're a guy and you listen to Alanis? Only Ralph is allowed to do that, and only because he's a Canuck. :lildevil:

j/k I liked the first one, because at the time it was really good, especially for a female artist...

Of course! I enjoy pop music, among other genres.

yeah, when jagged little pill came out it wasnt bad. then the next album came out, and flopped (i think it had one single, cant remember if the song was good but she was naked in the whole vid) and she probably had another after that, and it didnt amount to anything so she decided to bring back to her jagged little pill because her career was nowhere. im not saying i wouldnt like the acoustic cd, id probably really like it, but it seems like shes trying to make a buck on rereleasing jagged little pill as an acoustic cd.

I can't get past the fact she's hideously ugly. If I wanted to listen to a horse sing, I'd watch Mr. Ed. That, and that type of music does not tickly my fancy.

thats why she came out with a cd, not a dvd

I don't care for Alanis, but I have my little vices for music too.

Sting...Along with almost anything else '80's and even the '70's...Hell, I love both decades of music there...

I dont like her voice, but I enjoy some of her music. JLP was slightly overrated in my opinion, but was still pretty decent. I think her followup albums failed because the emotion was gone. They became the musings of a wealthy happy famous woman. We all know rich happy people make crappy music. Look what happened to REM.

the song Ironic

that put a whole new meaning to alot of things that happen

Now when I look at bad things that happened, I find the good, or funny part... it is funny how music can change someone.

BTW, I have a wide range of music, I like nearly everything, Alanis included, the type of music I listen to, the car I drive etc... none of that makes me "gay"

To be honest, I think she's pretty attractive. I had a dream we hooked up once. She took me to a hollywood party, it was a cool dream.

yeah, because she isn't the young "innocent" hollywood diva like Avril Lavign, Kelly Clarkson or whoever, people this she is ugly... but when you look at her, you have a REAL *women* who has true talent and dosn't need 2lbs of makeup and skimpy clothing to sell her music.

She has done NO advertising at all for this remake, so I doubt she did it to make a buck.

I think she is pretty too, she sang when she was like 20, that was 10 years ago... so what is she? 30-35 now? hell, I dunno... but maturity in women is what does it for me, all the girls my age are still in that immature high school phase...

ah yes, the tail end of being "all jacked up" and right now i am listening to.... The Knacks - My Sharona, it is on repeat too..... oh yeah.

The latest album I've bought was Dope's Group Therapy. I just got into them recently and they kick ass. Good ol' fashioned angry metal. Alanis's music isn't really my thing but I don't deny she's talented and definately a good lookin' lady. We all have our guilty pleasures, I listened to my old Spice Girls CD last week LOL!

Nuttin wrong with Alanis... But I like Cheryl Crow, Natalie Merchant, Natalie Umbruglia (spelling?), and own all the CD's that the Cranberries put out... I think the 90's female artists really are great...
This is someone who's favorite band is Pink Floyd, and grew up in the 70's... (I'm 41).

I agree, 90's female artists were good.

lol, another funny thing.. I grew up in the 90's, and my favorite band is Pink Floyd too :)

I am into 80's music alot too....

gosh, I like everything, I own Godsmack, Kenney Chesney, Alanis, Ludacris, and everything in between, I don't label myself, I just love music. :)

If you gre up int he 70's, I am sure you remember REAL home audio? not the black plastic junk sold today, but the truely amazing solid state gear of the mid-late 70's... I am very much into vintage home audio, perhaps you remember some of these little jems? :)

BTW, 18 here :)
