Hello to everyone, I have just acquired an '09 Escalade not esv and LOVE it but when sitting at idle i can feel a slight rough miss happen and then go away and the come right back. I have tried seafoam on about a quarter tank of fuel and have had no luck- Nothing serious but more bothersome for me meaning i just dropped a pretty penny for it and am not looking forward to this leading into something larger. The Caddy has 65k miles and looks very like new so i was wondering perhaps a fuel filter change would be due but don't know where it is located? In rail? in tank? or top of tank? Any other suggestions would be of great help! Thank you all in advance.
Fuel filter is in the tank. Replacing the spark plugs and wires may help some. I find my '07 runs the roughest when the a/c is off and the rpm's drop really low.
edit: Oh yeah, clean your MAF sensor and throttle body.
If your truck was missing, it would throw a code. Are you experiencing a slight shake during idle? That's normal, in my opinion. I have driven countless trucks with the 6.2L, and they all did that, including my '07 with 200k.
Congratulations on the newly acquired Escalade and welcome to the forum. I hope you are enjoying your new ride aside from this issue.
It seems like you are looking for feedback from the rest of the forum and have already received some from djstereo and Punmax. If you would like me to check your VIN for any open service announcements or are considering working with a dealership to resolve your previously mentioned concerns, please feel free to PM me.
Have a great night,
Austin J.
