I need to remove the dash pad from my 92 Eldorado, I have a new DIC to replace the faulty one. (the current one fades in and out and sometimes just goes dark for days) I have removed the defroster vent and the screws holding the pad down, I have also removed the pilar covers but cant seem to find a way to remove the dash pad itself from the front part of the dash (short of destroying it). Any ideas?

On the '98 - '04 Seville's, there is one screw, behind each air vent. Use thin screwdrivers to remove the vents. Maybe your car has the same set up.

Are you sure you need a new DIC? Your symptoms sound a little bit like a loose ground wire to me. How do you know you need a new DIC?
hmmm loose ground... i wish i had posted this before i bought the new D.I.C. lol... i'll have to check that out. Also sometimes it wont let me change the temp on the climate control and all the amber lights behind the buttons on the right side will come on for hours or even longer. I just assumed the DIC was dying.
I have replacement vents as well they are still attached to the wood dash parts The vents are glued and screwed to the wood and have bolts under the dashpad (which i can barely see if i lift up on the dash pad).
Back to that loose ground... would this be a ground for the DIC itself? If so do you know a location by chance?
Well, i guess there are no other ideas. I'm going to attempt the removal tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Yes, there should be screws located behind the "removable" vents. I am not aware of any air vents that are fixed "glued" in place.
From the point of swivel you will need a slim tool to gently depress the vent lock from the dash.
Once the dash pad is removed, you will notice access to other things such as the photo cell, interior temperature sensor to name a few. Normally the instrument cluster is grounded through a connection to the headlamp switch which is an integral part of the DIC.
Oh...good luck!
