Hi Everybody :excited:
I'm a new member from the UK. I've been running a 1988 Fleetwood d'Elegance now for about 6 years and although she is not my daily driver its fair to say all my family and Friends think its a terrific car to own and go out in. Wwe try to attend shows when possible, just really to show-off the marque to the non-converted drivers over here.
We also run a 1993 Dodge Ram 250 DayVan converted by 'Compliment' although I've been unable to find out much about this conversion company as I believe they don't exist any longer, but we're still pleased with the vehicle, she's toured Ireland two years running covering about 1,500 miles each time.
My Wife (Anne) runs a 1990 LeBaron covertible as a daily driver, albeit only to the local station so she can travel to work in London.
Finally, just last September we bought a 1960 DeVille 6 window 6329 off the internet and had it shipped over here. She came from Texas and appears to have spent most of her time either undeer cover or in one of your dry states as there is no rust whatsoever, but the paintwork and dashboard have suffered. I'm am now in the process of stripping her down for a barre metal respray and a renovation. Never tried anything like this before so I'm expecting to be asking lots of questions to my future expecte problems, but excited at the prospect of returning this beautiful looking machine back to its original condition.
Well, that's aboout all for now, hope I haven't bored you all, but at least you know where I'm from and some background as to why I joined the club, and my ambition to restore a stately old lady back to her original glory and show her off to the great British public.:cool2:
Many thanks, and look forward to any help and encouragement I can get.
