View Full Version : FAQ section!!! PLEASE HELP!!!! elwesso 11-21-03, 10:17 PM Im going to be working on here in the next month or so the most comprehensive cadillac FAQ on the internet!!! Well, maybe no that big, but you get the idea.....
Anyway, I NEED YOU GUYS to post threads here of REALLY SOLID information.... Just post the thread links, and Ill sort through the mumbo jumbo.... This will be very good because it will provide FAST answers to most questions, so people wont have to post and wait for replys (and for the knowledgeable it will save them the time of spitting out the same info time and time again!)......
So, this is how I want it to flow...... Id like for you to , and then post the link of the thread and later in the post give a title for it, like "northstar headgasket problem" or something of that nature!!
Also, if anyone wants to do a write-up that would also be GOLDEN.....
Now, start digging up threads!!!
PS.... IF you find a thread out of place, let me or one of the other moderators know if it needs to be moved! This is also a good opportunity for us to really organize the site better!!! :golden: JJhomer83 11-22-03, 04:57 AM here (http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4892)

I replied to them mentioning that, they're on the 2nd or 3rd page now I think. elwesso 12-02-03, 04:58 PM If i come across it, I'll be sure to take care of it! elwesso 12-05-03, 05:06 PM For my information:

Pre 93 gas tank stumbling problemWes, I just read a thread that reminded me. Mid 90's STS's seemed to have a pretty common trunk leak problem. Just a thought.

How To
Retrieve codes by model and year
What they mean
http://myweb.accessus.net/~090/dtcobd2.html (http://myweb.accessus.net/~090/dtcobd2.html) RBraczyk 03-20-04, 08:08 PM Definiately wes, you need to include a comprehensive code machine. You need to be able to type in a code, and it will come up with the information you need, what the code is, and several solutions. Also, what all the valves mean and what type of problems that are associated with them. elwesso 03-21-04, 09:41 AM That would be great, but I wouldnt really know how to design something like that (it would take FOREVER!) RBraczyk 04-02-04, 11:53 PM well you could make a list at least, i may be able to help. Uh, dont' forget the deville heater core problem, i dunno if it was mentioned or not. CADDYBLACK99 04-05-04, 07:59 PM Here is the RPO code list link.

Paul bob2231 04-18-04, 04:01 PM Just a thought Wes, but if practical, it could be helpful. Though it's not exactly what you're asking for here.
A sticky list of members who have service manuals and are willing to be PM'd or e-mailed by other members needing a reference. We see all the time " you should get a factory service manual" and most people that need 1 will. But others may need it once or twice, and can't justify the cost. Others will get 1, but need answers in the mean time.
I have the book for 92 Eldo\Seville that would also be helpful for other years of 4.9. I'll look things up for members and I know other people will as well.
You guys kick it around as a suggestion.
Bob BeelzeBob 04-20-04, 12:18 PM We're not big on having members emailed or pm'd with questions that others may need to see referenced later. We like to keep everything on the message board so that it's archived and there for when it's searched later on... Common repeats seem to include:
wax type for paint
Tires? What brand, etc.
air ride suspension problems
What rims are the most cool?
Exhaust
Starters, alternators, etc. (probably under electrical)
? tru504187211 04-20-04, 07:23 PM Ive seen more than one thread on Antilock and Traction off lights being on. tru504187211 04-20-04, 07:24 PM Possibly Bose system compatibility with aftermarket speakers/ amps/ or headunits. elwesso 04-20-04, 10:28 PM All great ideas... RBraczyk 04-21-04, 07:33 AM I don't know if we have this already, but a car audio section. Wiring diagrams and such. elwesso 04-21-04, 06:09 PM I know davesmed has an alldata subscription, maybe we could get him to put this up.....
