Since I'll prolly be on Cadillacs shit, uhh I mean Hit List, I am considering graphing in a C4 Center section on our V.

I looked at some pics and researched some used pieces, I think I could do it for less than buying the fabulous jerktrag unit.

Not that those are bullet-proof, but then I'm not running 600 ponies either.

Any Thoughts?

Had those same thoughts as well:sneaky: C4 uses a Dana44...Viper uses a Dana44HD(Bigger pinion bearings).... I've seen these rears take 650+ and hold up......It could be done.....Custom yokes all away around and mounting and it might just work......

Yeah I'm thinking along the same lines...either a stock GTO rear beefed up with BMR upgrades (Harop diff cover, drive shafts, CV shafts, axel stubs, etc.) Or the Australian 9" IRS unit from diff technics.

Yeah, it may cost about the same as a stock replacement, which I'm looking at about 1500+ right now.

I've seen complete used IRS units in the $5-600 range, I can do all the fab work, much to Cadillacs dismay, then making the axles like a hybrid to work with both will need to be hired out.

I just can't see laying out 15 hundo for another total piece of crap.

Wow....That 9" IRS rear would solve all....but $3800???? Even if thats Australian, thats some $$$...... Then you have to fill it.....
