Please use the POLL to answer. For those that have had more than ONE V (and you know who you are - including 2x V households) - just answer yes unless you have 2 SN's one for each owner.

Why do you need this info?

1. It's always good to know the powers of numbers (how many voices we have to be heard - percent of V owners represented by this forum), etc.

2. We (some of us) have been invited to a meeting with GM today, it's good to be able to say while talking to 100 (or 1000) other V owners. We noticed that....

Gotta. Sorry to say I only have 1, lol!

Black 2004 CTS V with sun roof. Purchased May 2004. My wife's car. She loves driving (meaning driving the hell out of) this car. We find this to be one of our most favorite cars that we have enjoyed in 38 years of marriage. The only requirement has been horsepower and performance, in every case.

2005 Light Platinum, roaming Upper Grandview (Nyack), NY.
Some Pics (http://homepage.mac.com/kevin.aleman/PhotoAlbum3.html)

- Escort Passport SR7 Radar Detector
- Corsa Exhaust
- Maggie
- UUC Shifter
- StealthV skip shift eliminator
- Pedal Kit
- Embroidered mats, headrest, trunk
- Lastss Shift Knob, Interior Aluminium Trim, Door locks

Things Being Worked On:
- Hidden Reverse Camera with trigger for OEM Delphi/Delco Nav (not easy)
- Sepperate Visor integrated displays wired to independant DVD that uses OEM speakers but does not interupt Nav
- Auto lowering of volume when radar detector goes off (like stock nav does)

Various other mods and improvements in the works.

Replaced 2005 M3, prefer the Caddy's agressive look and fuller size, still have a BMW Z3 2.8 (being replaced with Lotus Elise), BMW X5 4.4 (dunno its replacement yet, probably another X5), BMW 3 series (will be gone forever shortly). An XLR-V would have been coming if it had a stick for next year, total bummer. Had the XLR for a little bit out in Vegas (2 of them actually, a Silver and Black) and I was totally underwhelmed by the automatic transmission which seriously detracts from an otherwise nice ride, oh yeah, the CTS-V Nav is better IMHO.

--Note on BS reliablity of Euro vs American vs Japanese
I have probably got a record out there for the most problematic BMWs in history. Basically every 3000 miles developed some very hairy problems, my 2000 X5 4.4 alone has had its control arm and various suspension components replaced over 18 times beginning at the first 10k miles. Was stuck in the middle of nowhere on my 3, the magic 3 times within the first 7 months of owning the car and within the first 10k miles. And it took BMW Roadside Assistance over 6 hours to get a flatbed to me, each time it happened (Long Island) and I even brokedown a few hours after I had a recall fixed (oil temp sensor). They must have failed to properly seat the sensor and oil dripped on my belt and it basically slipped off and tore through the engine compartment front end taking out various sensors and wires connected to the engine. Had the water impeller fail 3 times and a whole cabinet full of service recipts. Even had a service guy at BMW drop my car from a lift onto its side.

-- So there is absolutely no car that is even close to being semi-perfect.

So far the Caddy at 10k miles has been more reliable than any of the many BMWs I've owned so far. Aside from the crap I replaced that came OEM - but did mostly the same to my BMWs too. So I am very happy with my first American car. Did have a Lexus for a few months (and it too had numerous visits for service) but I couldn't take the laid back feel of it and the silly silent interior. I like exhaust notes and stiff suspension and most of all a stick.
