Can someone tell me how much is my 1987 Fleetwood Brougham D'elegance worth, if I were to try to sell it? I have know idea what I could get for it.

it's black on black, 4 door...the big daddy.

It has 49,000 miles on the odometer. I bought it from an old lady that let it sit for two years without driving it, and before that she went to the store and back to get cigarretes. I think the odometer may actually be acurate, although i cant be positive, it could be 149,000, i guess. but it runs like it has 49,000.

Interior is perfect, not a scratch on the button leather interior, factory shag carpet is perfect. The electrical is perfect. The only thing wrong with the interior is the eject button on the radio is missing.

The exterior could use some minor repair. The rear driver side door, and trunk could use a fresh coat of paint, although its not horrible. The pinstriping down the driver side needs to be redone. It needs a new bumper filler on the front and rear passenger side. all that stuff due to the fact that it sat under a car port for two years in the texas heat. the chromed out, deep dish wires are cool, but they need new center caps. the ones its got are kinda melted looking from the heat, obscuring the caddy symbols

The engine runs great. the only things it needs are new valve cover gaskets and a new oil pan gasket. I put $3,000 into it, buying it, and getting it running again, after sitting so long. doing all the minor engine work to get it to pass inspection, plus putting a new rear end in it when the gear box crapped out. it has 4 brand new tires on it, and its all legal.

so taking all that into consideration, in ya'll expert opinion, what is a fair asking price for it?

help!!!

Unfortunately, any money you put into the thing to keep it running won't factor into the asking price, much. People won't care that you invested into the car, they'll just figure that the car runs and needs some exterior work. Asking prices vary a great deal based on location, too. You're in Dallas and I'm not sure if that's a hot market or not. The south, generally, is a pretty good place to sell a Cadillac.

Given the excellent interior condition, I'd say maybe start at $4000. You won't get that, I bet, but it's a place to start. IF it has such low mileage and with the work you've put into it, it should be able to fetch a good price if you hold out for the right person. The dull paint will cost you, of course, as will any body damage. Settle for $3500, if you can get it. That's just MY opinion.

In all honesty I would say $1k-$1.5k. It needs oil pan gasket plus body and paint work. It sucks that you spent all that money on repairs but it means nothing come time to sell. If you want to get a return on the money you spent then just keep it for awhile.

Wow. Guess it all depends on location, location, location. Even different neighborhoods make a difference around here. Maybe there are more of these down in Texas?

I picked my '91 up for $1k and its in mint condition. Top and paint were done only 1 year prior to me purchasing it. I've since installed a 350 motor and new A/C but it did not need a motor or A/C when I bought it.

I appreciate all the feedback.

my issue is,

It has recently become my daily driver and with gas prices the way they are I was thinking of getting something else. and i was thinking of selling it now, while its running great and the miles are low. I want to keep it in the good condition that it is in, and hate putting miles on it, but I gotta do what I gotta do...for now.

btw, at what age does the value start going back up? if its in excellent condition, i mean, 20 years, 25 years, 50 years old?
