I was thinking of a Miata because I wanted a convertible that I could have fun at the AutoX with also. I had driven a MazdaSpeed turbo one when they first came out and fell in love with it... But then I drove an NA 2002 this weekend with the 1.8l and that ended that train of thought real quick. ;)

I'm going to get a convertible of some sort. Maybe an LS1/T56 Firebird or Camaro. Possibly even a Mustang GT. We'll see what's available. I want to drive a Porsche Boxster, too.

So c'mon guys! Spread the word around!!! :D

Yeah, it would've been nice to see some more Cadillacs at the meet. There was me and one other guy with a basically stock Fleetwood. Hell, there were more Buick wagons there!

Same color as my Fleetwood... Though I don't have the soft top, or the rok done yet... If you have any extra infor on your conversion to a stick shift, could you pass it on to me? It'll be useful to know any challenges I should keep an eye out for. Same on the construction of the center console.

Excellent, and thank you TooMany... The way you did that brings to mind some other ideas for me... There's a significant amount of space in there, I think that with some moderate wiring, a bit of extra cooling routing, that the internal brains of a computer could be fitted in there, run a small AC vent across it (would even head back to the rear passenger's feet) and put a flip out computer screen in where the factory radio is. Might take a bit of time to boot up, but with wiring work, could have some of the accessories sort of remot from the main CPU.... Yes, I'm having more ideas on this vehicle.... Now where the hell will I hide my CB radio? :) Think I'll need to step up my alternator and battery as well... I wonder how feasible it is to run 2 alternators full time on a car? 1 slightly smaller one to run the car and its essentials, 1 to run just the accessory electronics and radio... Thank you very much TooMany... going to have me planning even more expensive modifications to my car....

That's a sweet Fleetwood! And you were thinking of buying a Miata? Don't count it out yet, put an aftermarket turbo on it and it flies. I have a small greddy that runs 9 psi and it runs a 14.14 in the 1/4. There is a guy around town here in KC that has a t3/t4 turbo set up and is running in the high 10's. Plus you can't beat the Miata's handling. Check out Miata.net it's like this site but with more people.
