1st post... I have a 92 DeVille. Won't start because of neutral safety switch or something electrical for the transmission linkage from the shifter. How can i bypass all if any to get the car to start and run?? Thanks
You can't bypass it. Look over the driver sdie fender and you should be able to see the neutral saftey switch on the trans, at the end of the shift cable. Try starting it while slowly moving the shift lever (keep one foot firmly on the brake, just incase it should start in gear). If that works, it may just be out of adjustment. There is a proceedure in the service manual to adjust it. If that fails, try wiggling the electrical connection. Maybe it just got loose or dirty. If both fail, it may need to be replaced.

Fixed it!!! Thanks man... bypassed wire to starter from the neutral saftey switch. Starts in all gears now, but it runs and thats ALL GOOD.
Thanks
