I recently aquired a new instrument cluster for my Seville and I was wondering if there was anyway to transfer the miles either manually by taking some kind of a chip out or by hooking the car up to a service computer, saving the miles, and copying to the new one? I called my local dealer and they said that they didn't do it and reffered me to an electronics shop where they have it done. The only problem with that is, they wanted $90 just to swap the miles if I brought both in. The whole reason I got this cluster is because I'm on a tight budget and it was cheap. By the way, eBay is awesome. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Matthew

Try looking for a Delco radio/speedometer repair shop. They have the GM cluster diagnostic termial that can rapidly change the mileage. $90? That may be very reasonable. Its a $20k terminal for them.

Heres a picture of one. They are hard to find.

Thanks for the info. I was wondering if there was a way around he $90. I am a poor college student who can barely pay for rent and gas. But again, thanks!
