Thanks to Florian, I now have a CTS-V exhaust to install on my 3.6 CTS. We met him and his wife(?) at Wheel to Wheel Powertrain where the exhaust was being kept for him. They had an open house and my son and I got to see some awesome cars before heading home. I should have taken a camera because we also saw a M-plated XLR-V on the freeway headed for the Dream Cruise.

A word of advice for those considering this swap - the CTS-V exhaust is looong. I have a 6.5' bed on my truck and it sticks out almost 2 feet beyond the dropped tailgate. That would make it about 10' long. (I'd post a pic, but it's raining this morning.) We don't have a good place to store it, so it will probably stay in the truck until we get back from taking the CTS to South Carolina next week.

Price was $75, so Florian has some extra beer money for the Dream Cruise. Here's the W2W site:

Oh, if any 2.8 or 3.2 owners in southern Michigan, northwest Ohio, or northeast Indiana is interested in my stock 3.6 dual exhaust, let me know. I probably won't install the V exhaust until about Sep 1.

Good for you!:D I talked to Florian over in the V Forum about his exhaust but ended up finding one about 25 miles from home. I hauled mine home in a short wheelbase Astro van. The Front was up on the dash and the tips were againt the rear closed doors. Yep, it's a handful. And you get to do it again when you take it to the muffler shop.:yup:

The sound is 10x better than stock, yet still sounds cadillac, more throaty, more agressive, yet not obnoxiously loud.

It will essentially void the warrenty on your exhaust system, though some dealerships might try to say it would void your entire warrenty say (like less backpressure damaged your pistons B.S) It's a risk you have to take.

Not to worry! It's like if you add a Volant intake or a TonyS intake, There's no longer a warranty on your intake. Same with your V exhaust even though it is all OEM Cadillac parts. Go..enjoy!:D
