I want more power out of my Northstar. Is there a programmer out there, I have not been able to find one. If anyone has any other suggestions I would really appreciate it.

Get new pipes.. at least it'll sound like you have alot more power... my car seems to pick up faster, but maybe its my imagination. After I got mine on, even a guy in a 2005 S600 was like "what the hell do you have in there??"

Your car DOES pick up faster. Exhaust mods are one of the most common things people do to improve performance on the Northstar.

Nitrous is the most bang for the buck if you want to go that route. Here's an install I did on mine awhile back.

speedyman_2 did you ever end up running your car at the track to see what you could get out of it with the nitrous?

I don't know if I would trust a dry nitrous system in the Northstar beyond a 50 shot, or even a 50 shot at that. Leaning out the mixture is a very bad thing in a high-compression engine like this, and I don't know if the fuel system can compensate enough to prevent engine damage. I am collecting parts for a 100 hp wet system, but I will work up to it from jetting for 50. I will post the results as soon as I finish the project.

Yes I did. But, the time I did it the clocks weren't working
But, I launched and ran halfway down the 1/8 mile track right next to if not a little in front of an '04 Cobra. Once I heard the whine he started to pull away. I was very impressed with the low end torque gain. I really wish I could've got some times. I went again a few times but it was just too warm outside and I think it caused a lean condition. I never saw a faster time than I did with the stock runs. But I'm sure my 60ft times were better. Last night I ran the 1/8th again and my best was a 9.808 with a .503 RT and 2.4 60ft. Bone stock on my new Falken Z512's now. Nice dry cool night. It ran pretty good.

U ran a 2.4 60ft with nitrous? Seems kinda slow no? ... oh wait..u said bone stock.... never mind im retarded... :thepan:

Well, larger fuel injectors (if anyone make a set that will fit) and a tuneable Fuel Pressure Regulator (again, if anyone make one that will fit) would probably be more than adequate to adjust for the nitrous oxide levels introduced under larger shots, such as a 75, or 100.

There is a guy that runs 145 shot on his G35 coupe (stock) ..he's pulling of 12 second quarter miles...it appears to b 'working' just fine on the stock internals (for now)..so im sure a caddy can handle 100 shot just fine....for how long is another question....
