My 2005 CTS is one year old this month and still I find it annoying that my dashboard is so plain looking. Can somebody please recommend which type
(wood and stimulated wood) looks the best and it would help if the pictures are included. It is my understanding that Cadillac dealers use Sherwood Dash as well as B & I Trim but I haven't "seen" them on various CTS in pictures. The objective is to cover the whole "centerpiece" and the lock/window pads on the armrest for the streamline look. Help. Thanks...

There's been dozens of threads on dash kits.
But here's my 2 cents. Most buyers install two much and the cabin begins to look a bit trashy. One Vendor allows you to select the pieces you want. It's very expensive this way but still less than the price of the whole kit. Here's a link:

I recommend the synthetic material as it holds up much better. The metal dents very easily and the wood chips and cracks. This Vendor has an exact match for the OEM Cadillac woodgrain used on the shifter knob and the steering wheel. I ended up purchasing a half dozen pieces. Use a hair dryer to really get the adhesive hot and sticky. If you don't some will start to pop away.
When you look at the interior of my car it looks stock like what Cadillac should have done. Put the whole kit on and your interior looks like an arcade IMO.
I hope I helped you out a bit. Good luck.:yup:

I totally agree.
I am going to be checking out a local guy who sells them on ebay this week.
He comes to your house in a van or something.
Coincidentally, I JUST e-mailed him and asked if he sells just certain pieces.
Too much is a little crazy somteims.
The thing is, I wouldn't know which pieces to use...
Maybe just the vents and door handles, I'm thinking.
I think I would leave the center of the dash as-is............

Here's what I did:
*Steering Wheel
*Front passenger & Driver window controls
*Shifter
*Remote Trunk Opener
*Nothing on the Dash
That's all. IMO it looks very OEM.:)
