Any suggestions, comments before i get started! ???

Also i have one of those big jacks....was wondering if it's safe to raise it from the rear axel ?

I want to have some general info before i get started so it doesn't take me 5 hours!

THANK YOU!

First off, take your time man, don't rush.

You could PROBABLY jack the car on the poumpkin/rearend but, I wouldn't. I would just place the jack to the left or right of the diff, by the exhaust, on either of the frame rails, where the control arms join the rail. That would be a good location to lift the vehicle.
Once you do that, find some jack stands, and secure them, on the fram rails. Obviously, one on each rail. Place them in good locations, on all fours.

Make sure the car is 110% stable before you go underneath it. Have a friend help you, as teamwork works best man.

Should be somewhat easy, although I have never installed the magnaflow exhaust.

Best wishes, and remeber not to pull hard on the car, or jerk it at all, as results could be catastrophic(spell that right?)

oh yeah, the cars have arrowsa to where the good jacking points are, on the left and right rocker panels. NOTE...do not jack on the side moldings, only on the frame rails, which are about a fott and a half inboard on the front of the car. The back, you can do right in front of the rear wheels, on the grey metal area, which will be flat, and just on the other side of your plastic rocker panels/side moldings.

It's easy, just take you time, and make sure shes suspended well.

There is a guy on the CTS forum who made a special lifting jig for the rear that works so great I still haven't returned it.:shhh:

It spans the rear and the floor jack lifts the whole rear of the car.

It is made out of extruded aluminum (the jig, not the rear or jack)

What I found to be very easy is to get a set of Rhino ramps and back the car up onto them. Then, you can jack the front end up easily and set it on stands. I find this to give you plenty of clearance and it's easy to maneuver the creeper without stands in the way.
