A dealer can install the pedals. If you are a bit mechanically inclined and have the necessary tools, you can install yourself. It is not difficult. Here are the instructions for installation:

They sell the whole set including the big plate for $150 without a group buy. To get that at ultimatepedals it cost $315 before the discount.

I'm in for gas, brake, emergency brake and dead foot pedal rest for a 2004 Cadillac SRX.....do they have it for that application?

If so that is 4 pieces.

I'm also in for a CTS-V clutch, brake and driver and passenger footwell large heel rest pads. So that is 4 pieces.

4 pieces for sure and 4 pieces for an SRX if they make it so that would total 8 pieces.

Who ever is running the GB; let me know about the SRX pedals please so I can be counted for either 4 or 8 pieces.

I'm not sure how you arrived at over $300, unless you add engraving to all the pedals, and get our flanged driver footrest.

The other manufacturer does not include engraving, does not offer a flanged footrest, does not offer a parking brake pedal, and uses a different type of anti-slip than our pedals, raised edges around the countersunk holes only, versus our box pattern which covers the entire pedal (very similar to a very coarse bastard file).

If you ordered four pedals (gas, brake/clutch, parking brake, and driver footrest) in our most expensive finish, frosted anti-slip, the price would be $231 before the discount and $150.15 after the discount(assuming 35% for 20+ orders).

Our shiny anti-slip finish would be $211 before the discount and $137.15 after the discount(assuming 35% for 20+ orders).


You can also just get the anti-slip finish on the brake/clutch and smooth on all the other pedals, which would further reduce the price.

Our anti-slip finish is machined into the entire pedal surface and provides grip second to none, wet or dry guaranteed.

If you don't agree simply send the pedals back and we will gladly refund the cost of the pedals.

Finally, our pedals are an exact match for the original pedals. We add 1/8" all around to ensure the pedals completely cover the stock pedals (the other manufacturer does not appear to be an exact match).

Our goal is to produce a product that looks like it came from the original manufacturer or better.

We pride ourselves in total customer satisfaction knowing that the most discriminating of automobile owners select our products for its superior quality.

On closer examiniation of the two products I think you will realize that we are not compairing apples to apples.

I sent an e-mail to Rob at U.P. and asked for clearer pricing. Like the manual take an extra pedal over the auto. Is there a cost difference in flanged and unflaged pedals.

What do you think of my idea? I plan to paint my pedals gloss black. Then I will take a fine file and remove the paint on the high spots to reveal the shiney metal. As you know I try to keep the bling down on my ride. Can you picture it?:hmm: Hey if it looks like crap, out comes the paint remover. Of course I will only paint one pedal to see how it looks. You guys might think about the technique to match your interior.

You have to drill holes through the current pedals and screw them on. If you have a sharp drill bit it's not too bad a job. I only broke one drill bit in the process. The instructions are pretty self-explanatory. Of course I also installed 3M clear bra :eek: :banghead: and hard wired the Valentine 1 on 3 cars. :alchi: The work space is a little cramped, but you can do it!

I just visited the website. Each pedal shows a cost for the pads but no mention as to how many pads are provided. One pad for each hole?? $69-$79 per pedal.

I think I'll just pass on the insert pads.

I searched the forum, and there is talk about it being a perfect fit, but no pics.

I don't have a photo, but just imagine the regular gas pedal with holes then add about an inch to the left side without holes and you have the heel/toe extension. It looks good but as someone else mentioned, you don't need it unless you have a manual transmission.

If you don't mention the group buy name you'll get your pedals quickly, but not discounted.



Also, with the website you won’t see the discount automatically, and you will get a confirmation email pretty quickly. That email will not have the discount applied to it, DONT WORRY....You are not charged until the items are shipped, and the set up of our software cannot compute a discount, it has to be manually accounted for.

Since the order web site doesn't know how many people are in the group buy, how do we get the correct % of a discount? Don't you have to have a certain number of people agree to do the buy, let the store know, then everyone buys during a set time frame? You hit it on the nose. That's why it takes longer to receive your order. They have to make sure how many orders they actually receive to apply the proper discount. You can actually order now but I wanted to set a date to close the buy. That's this coming Monday. I went ahead and ordered mine today. You can place your order anytime, just be sure to mention the Cadillac Forums group buy during the checkout process when you are asked to type in the year, make, and model of your car.

You should already see some orders coming in. I placed one as did MLV. I posted yesterday that we want to close things up and to get our orders in by this coming Monday.

You know there really isn't a place in ordering process to mention the Group Buy. I found a box for something else and added it there. Once you go on to the next page you can't go back. So if anyone screws up can they contact you to correct it?

You are correct, we wait until all the orders are in and then base the discount on the total number received.

During the checkout process you will first see a screen where you fill in your personal information.

The next screen is where you select the shipping method, the default is UPS ground.

Right below the shipping part of the screen is a text box where you are asked to enter year, make and model.

It is this text box where you would type in the group buy and any engraving options.

By the way at the bottom of the screen there is a horizontal line where you can step backwards.

Please let us know if this is unclear.

Hmmm, must be. I just drilled holes in the original pedals, screwed the new ones on, and they are secure and tight; no problems.

Clarification of previous post: for the pedals with rubber covers you must remove the rubber covers then drill through the metal.

MAybe some of the other members could at least buy the E-brake petal. It's the cheapest item. Then we could all get the full 35% discount!!! Think about the health of your poor CTS. The stock petals really wear down fast. The new petals will keep the car in great shape!!! So buy them. Take one for the team...:golden:

How much will it add to the cost to put the Cadillac emblem on the pedals? I am thinking of getting the gas pedeal with the toe extension just for look and I am going with the Shiny anti slip. I dont think I am going to get the flanged foot rest. Also can we get an update from Ultimate Pedals on how many people have placed their orders?

You're gonna miss the boat! That info was posted. Here it is again per Ultimate Pedals:

Also, with the website you won’t see the discount automatically, and you will get a confirmation email pretty quickly. That email will not have the discount applied to it, DONT WORRY....You are not charged until the items are shipped, and the set up of our software cannot compute a discount, it has to be manually accounted for.

I'll bring this to the top one more time before the long weekend. Tuesday the 6th of September I'll ask Rob to start processing our orders and see what our discount is.

Ultimate Pedals just contacted me. Out of the dozen who said they wanted pedals, only 8 have ordered. We need 2 more to get 30%.

How did you remove the E-brake pedal? Some of the V guys said it's tough.

I just drilled through it and screwed the new pedal on. Worked fine.

Did you use the self tapping screws? I heard the screw & nuts were to short.

There is a metal platform behind the e-brake pedal. I think if you drill the center out with a large bit the pedal will come off.

I'd post an attachment but I've lost the right to post them. Anybody ever hear of this?
