DopeStar 156 08-17-05, 02:00 AM They call them the factory option wire wheels. They're rediculously hard to find in good shape but a great add on to your car if you can get them. tru504187211 08-17-05, 10:12 AM Easier to just find some 30 spoke Cragar wheels...even some 84's. Get out your papers for a bank loan first though... The Ape Man 08-17-05, 10:15 AM where can a guy get these wheels? what are they called so a guy can even find them? That set of spokes is in high demand. The best way to latch onto a set is to buy a car that has them then resell the car with a set of plain Janes. N0DIH 08-17-05, 02:09 PM amazing that spokes actually held up the car even in hard cornering! But they are sharp. I remember them from years ago when my mom had a new 85. She had the caps though, these wheels were too much. The Ape Man 08-17-05, 02:35 PM Those wheels are so heavy. I sold the set that was on my '80 Fleetwood Coupe last year to a guy with a funeral parlor somewhere down south. Shipping was like $100.00. I now have the late ('86) spoke lightweight hubcaps on factory black alloy (not steel) rims. I lost something like 29 Lbs at each wheel. Car rides much better with lower unsprung weight. Same reason HD 4 wheel drive vehicle's ride gives you a headache. Leloz 08-17-05, 03:30 PM There was a set on Ebay that ended a couple of weeks ago.. used they brought close to $1,000!!! :ill: brougham 08-17-05, 06:50 PM The ones in that picture aren't the real Cadillac ones. DopeStar 156 asked about this before and there's a picture of my car with the factory wire wheels in his post. DopeStar 156 08-17-05, 07:20 PM Oh yeah... Brougham's right. The real ones have a red background behind the crest. | |
