I ran by a 1971 Boss Hogg looking Deville Convertable, white with black top for sale yesterday. Like $1400 or so. If anyone is seriously interesting I can stop by and snap some pictures and see about contact info.
This car could easily be a twin to the car on the original Dukes of Hazzard show. Needs a new top for sure, no idea what else.

Boss Hogg would'nt be caught dead driving a '71. His was a 69 or 70.
Heeyuckyuck.
It looked pretty close. The car I saw was a 71. Any breakdown on differences?
Either way, you could pass it off and only the Landyaght Fanatics would notice....

The '71 is a different body style. '72,3,4, '75 and 6 are similar too. 68,9,'70 are similar to each other. Only normal production factory convertible after '70 was the Eldorado. Ralph Nader save us from ourselves.
'70 was the last year for the Deville Convertible. It was most likely a '71 Eldorado Convertible.

Boy do I miss my '70 Deville Convertibles....but this Electra Convertible with the 455 I just bought should keep me preoccupied for a while.
This is a '70 Deville Convertible:

Did they drop the 500 badge after '70 on the Eldo. I don't see it.
Yup, make the top black and that is the car. I saw 1971 on the window, so it could be wrong.
A friend of mine's dad had a 73 Eldo with 8.2 Litre on it....

As far as I've seen, yes. Unless the owner or someone had stuck "8.2 Litre" emblem on a newer one.

Quite sure Dukes of Hazzard trivia would say Boss had a 69. But consistency is questionable.
Couple years back I was watching an old re-run and someone opened the trunk of his car. The inside of the trunk lid was painted gold!!! Unbelievable. They repainted a car for the shoot and didn't even bother with the inside of the trunk.
Just like the Chargers they prolly had a fleet of those cars for shoots and wrecks. They must have just done quick sprays on cars and put them in the scenes, figuring the kids wouldn't notice the cheap paint jobs.
They were right. I never noticed back then...

Daisy Duke had a way of distracting viewers.
