My Fleetwood has the Throttle body injected 350. I'm curious to know if the 5.7L that comes in the mid 90's Silverados is the same engine that's in my car.

The Caprice and Roadmaster had the TBI 350 as an option till 1993. The 1991-1992 Fleetwoods had the TBI 350 as an option as well. I believe the Monte Carlo SS & El Camino had this motor as an option too.

The 350 TBI never came in Monte's or El Camino's. The SS Monte and El Camino's both had carbs. I cant tell you all the cars this motor was in but I know Chevy trucks had this setup in the late 80's. I've seen the TBI setup in 93 Fleetwoods and later Chevy/GMC trucks but it appeared to be a different setup. :thepan:

The L05 was available in GM full size cars and trucks from around 1989 to 1995. With the GM Trucks holding on to it till the Vortec 350 and 305 came on the scene in 1996. I don't know how different the TBI unit is, but they all were RPO L05.

Minor mod some $500 Vortec heads (new from dealer price) and add 20-30 hp across the board on a L05 with a nice increase in mileage. Money well spent.

Do you know if they use the same pulleys?
