That could be the problem, or it could be the resistor in the head of the key. Sounds like a dealership trip to me either way. Is it still under the 4 year/ 50,000 mile factory warranty?

If you have a Remote start in the vehicle that would be it.
I had a few vehicles with a Remote start and they all would do the exact same thing and that was the problem.
If you don't have a Remote start.. sorry.. not sure what it would be.
Good luck.

Guess it depends on your remote start installer. I've had one for 2+ years and 0 problems.

This happened to me last night. However, my security light is always flashing. I went to go jump in the truck last night and it wouldn't start. I had to be jumped inorder to get home and when I got home, it wouldn't start again. A day before, I turned on my aftermarket alarm and I believe it just discharged my battery. I left the my extra aftermarket alarm off like always and in the morning, my truck started perfectly fine and the battery had recharged itself. I believe there is a short in the aftermarket alarm electrical wiring, so i'm fixing that this weekend.
By the way, last night when it would just *click click click click* when I would attempt to start it, I could tell the battery was discharging faster and faster. I tried starting it remotely with my keys and everything in the car immediately went absoluetly crazy; lights were flickering, monitors were flickering, and the in dash/night lights were flickering as well. The front and rear alarm lights were flickering slower and slower as they died off. At one point, I heard the alarm system sound fade in and out within seconds. I was totally stunned by the whole situation. :banghead:
