Just picked this up on sunday. 102,000 miles, and a couple years back it had a goodrench 307 installed. Doesn't leak a single drop of oil. In 97 it was taken down to bare metal and repainted.

Great color combo  I had an 87 white w/blue top and interior. Liked the car but really disliked the color combo. It was a hell of a good deal though. Good luck with yours.

I paid $1,600 for it I feel I got a pretty good deal. Although today I was plagued by the infamous lock-up convertor problem. I will be replacing the computer in the morning.

Hey, wait a bit. Replacing the computer, eh? I have a lock-up problem, I think. I've had the switch replaced (fixing the problem for a while) and re-checked; the switch seems fine but I still get that hiccup when I'm coming to a stop. I've thought of replacing the ECM but I'm wondering why you've done so...and if you have, did it fix the problem?

Gorgeous car, btw. Very classy, good deal.

I got lazy and didn't replace it yet. For now I just pulled the ecm fuse, no OD and constant check engine light. Runs perfect. Do a search here on the word "chuggle" I cam across the post and it told me everything I needed to know.

When I seached for "chuggle" all I found was this thread, one I posted and another that wasn't of much help. Were you checking out MY thread? Or was it a search of the entire forum, not just our section?

IF it was my thread you saw, don't pay any attention to it yet coz I don't know what the heck is wrong with my car at this point. As for YOUR problem, just coz you disconnected the ECM doesn't mean it's the ECM causing the problem. Lockup converter switches are known to go bad and it's much more common than an ECM going bad. Save yourself some money and check/replace your lockup solenoid first.

Whoa, I've got basically the exact same '87....except it's white exterior, red carpet, white leather. Great pick! Good luck with it.
