Is anyone out there familiar with a problem that occurs when you bring a US version (2004) Escalade ESV Platinum edition vehicle to Europe (Spain) and the Navigation does not work, Is there an alternate program or a way to correct this? The new Escalades that are just now being offered officially for sale by Cadillac dealers in Europe are not sold with a Navigation system and it is not even an option. I have tried to contact Cadillac in the USA and my phone bill is now greater than a new navigation system and I have no answer from them.
I will appreciate all coments.

That makes sense since the mapping software is for the U.S. and Canada...Since Cadillac doesn't offer navigation in Europe, you are most likely SOL.

Hey, thanks for the info, Joshua, I just found out that the SRX IS available with navi here in Europe. And the systems look the same. Hmmmmmmm?

If that is the case, then the disk *should* work...However, Cadillac uses like 3 different navigation systems, but that is';t to say that they don't all use the same mapping software. You should try to befriend an SRX owner who has the nav and ask to try the disk and see what happens.
