Just noticed that someone around the corner from me has what at first appeared to be an Escalade. Turns out it is a Suburban. The thing has a ground effect kit, Escalade grill and emblems, and even has the Escalade words on the back hatch. Why do all this?
Anyone ever seen someone do this? What do you think of it?

I think it's str8 wack! I saw a tahoe with an escalade front end & I just laughed! The only person he was fooling was himself. :annoyed:

Indeed. I think the only way 'masquerading' looks alright is on the pickups, since Cadillac doesn't make one. Doing it to a Tahoe or Suburban is just downright misleading. :-)

Personally I wouldn't do it - but I suppose imitation is the sincerest form of flattery

I agree T-Dizzy... its only misleading on a Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban/etc..... However, its a great conversion when you're into the show scene and especially on pick ups. And even on pick ups, I think its cool to have the front end but not all the "ESCALADE" emblems.

Reason I really noticed was because my wife and I were outside at the time. I'm not bragging too much, but my wife looks alot younger than 32 (not that 32 is all that old) and she looks good. Homeboy passed his place and did a couple of drivebys scoped out my ole lady. I was up in the garage laughing. He thought he was the shit. Even my wife knew he was flodging.

I really think its a waste putting in all the dough to look like an escalade. I dunno how much all that stuff goes for but I know its not cheap. You might come out with the same figure as an escalade. Just go with an escalade and not no bootleg stuff.
