'95 into a '95 - yes
'95 into a '94 - no
Changes were made in '95 to the intake system and the PCMs won't play well together.

From the ebay auction where I got my new PCM for my 95 seville,

"This computer will fit 1993-95 Cadillac models, and the GM part number for this item is 88961146"

I think you just need to use the original PROM. I don't know anything about the intake systems though.

The stepper motors on both engines are the same, and may even be plug and play (haven't confirmed that though). The intakes are different, but at worst, you'd just need to lengthen some wires, or plumb the fuel system... I guess it all depends on how much work you want to do. Putting a different year northstar into a caddy is a lot easier than say, putting it into a grand prix. ;)

I have a 95 LD8 in my 94 sls. Used everything that was on the car just a new to me(slightly used) motor. All the wiring went together easily except for one extra plug that i dont know where goes. Maybe the heated windshield which is the only option i think it doesnt have.

Thanks for:confused: the input - but does anyone know which year the 95 Northstar will "just slip into"? Thanks Mark

95.

The 93-94 are directly interchangeable, and the 96-99 are directly interchangeable. 95 is one of those oddball years with some simularities to both groups.
