Hi All

I've just gone and brought an Ipod to go into my 2000 Escalade.
I'm using an FM modulator at the moment and it sounds pretty terrible!

I'm thinking of either buying a better modulator (Maybe the itrip) or getting an adapter to hook into the back of the Bose head unit.

Has anyone tried the GM12-AUX from www.installer.com (http://www.installer.com) - is it an easy hook up and is the sound ok?

Also has anyone got an ipod with an itrip or any other modulator that sounds good or are they all pretty poor?

Thanks

Ben

Ive tried the iPod with iTrip, hooked up to the power outlet and it sounded great.

I installed the PAC AAI-GM24 http://www.pac-audio.com/products/aai.htm into my 03 EXT and it worked like a champ. It took me about an hour to get it in. Just had to splice into the power and the ground, which the instructions kindly identify to you, hook adapter up and it was done. I ran the RCA's from the unit, out of the back of the console near the floorboard and left enough length that I could bring the cable out and hook it to my ipod when needed. I had to pull it out though, as I installed an XM Direct satellite radio adapter and the two units wouldn't coexists. I still have the aux unit and am willing to sell it if you are interested....

Thanks for the advice, i'll pass on the adapter as mine is a 2000 Escalade it needs a different type of adapter, also i live in the UK so the postage would probably cost more than the adapter.

Many thanks
