OK, got the N* out of the '96 on Saturday.
Headgasket blown between #1 & 3 cylinders, far right side head bolts pulled on that side also.
I am ready to do the Time-Serts, however, I had planned on getting them at Fastenal but when I drove down there, they had Heli-Coils instead of Time-Serts as the salesclerk had told me over the phone!
Who has the best price for Time-serts?
Any dealers I should NOT deal with?
Any dealers with superior service?
Seems as though most here have installed them, I just want a little input.

I could not find anyone cheaper than timesert. No one else had the kit in stock either.

The kit is for one head. Make sure you get 10 more serts and do the other head.

I dealt with Timesert themselves. They're customer service is excellent.

Thanks for the heads up zonie, I'll have to remember to order the extra Serts when I order the kit, I honestly wouldn't have thought of it had you not spoken up!

I seem to recall the kit being in the $300 range. Check Ebay.

Check their website. Did you look at the article on doing the timeserts?

They are easy but tedious to install.

If you haven't bought a kit yet I have one I will sell you as I just did mine a short time back. All you will need are 20 inserts otherwise it is brand new.
